The Ashland FireHouse Theater

ACT

Greetings All Movie-Lovers:

The Ashland Community Theater Foundation (ACT) takes great pleasure in announcing that movies are returning to Ashland at a new venue:

The Ashland Firehouse Theater

The Ashland Firehouse Theater will screen movies and hold other community-building events.  The 2009-10 season will open with holiday movies in December followed by great classic movies and cartoons  showing January through June.   We open with the classic Christmas tale, It’s A Wonderful Life, with screenings on Saturday December 12 at 7pm and again on Sunday, December 13 at 3pm. Subscription options will guarantee you tickets to what will surely be the hottest ticket in town!  See our schedule and subscription options described below.

The Venue

Our movie theater is in the large front bay of the old Ashland firehouse located on the corner of Duncan Street and Hanover Avenue. ACT is currently renovating and retrofitting the space as a theater with a large fixed screen, quality projection and audio equipment, carpeting, insulation and all the updates necessary to give our audiences a great movie experience.  Our building permit allows seating for an audience of 125.  Concessions will be available at each performance.

It will be heart warming to see the Theater back to life…Its sad to see where memories of years gone by just sit when the building is there to enjoy…I am so glad…It will be a joy to attend the Theater again..that is where me and my best friend shared every Saturday afternoon…for years…
